Youth Right to Rise is a group within MARIPOSA, fulfilling this mission of training youth in leadership skills as our group and the students in it grow together, becoming familiar with the nuances of advocacy work. We provide many services to our community, all which have been thoughtfully considered over many meetings to figure out where the community most needs our help, and how we can best fulfill that need.
The program is designed for young people who want a career in this work but don't have a law degree and aren't waiting around for one. Many of our participants are bilingual, grew up in mixed-status households, and already understand what families are facing before they walk through the door. We build on that.

HOW WE HELP
Our youth are determined to meet community members where they are most comfortable, whether in a local cafe, MARIPOSA’s office, or their own house. Those who are interested in this service can contact us through our phone number, where we have a representative answering and checking voicemail. We will work with people requesting this service to arrange the details in a way that makes them the most comfortable.
